< Painting > So, I hit my Type 94 (otherwise known as the FT-17) tank with Panzer Grey. I need to hit it with a darker gray with a fine airbrush to bring out the lighter gray. I might add mud or dust to the bottom as well.
I bought an Ambulance version of the Panzer I, as well as a Panzer I Ausf A. The Grandfather of German tanks; The O.G. tank. The Ambulance Panzer is already giving me problems. To a veteran modeler or someone with an eye for modeling will probably think it'll look like shit when I'm done with it but fuck them. I'll love it like it an ugly child of mine. I also bought another Illithid that has a robe on and weapons in each tentacle. He also comes with a pint sized version of himself. hahaha... a "chibi" version. Pics to follow.
< Wargaming > I bought the main rulebook Mk.II for Warmachine. I GUESS it was worth the money. It doesn't even have the new stats for half of my figures!! What the crap is that? I guess I can't complain for 30% off cover price. I'm going to see if I can get the 23rd off of work. My store is holding a tournament at another place down the street. I don't even think I have enough points to play. It's free for me to enter since I bought the book so I really have nothing to lose. The problem is, I think I'll need to buy more units...sigh. I guess I don't mind since I'm just going to buy more Gun Mages.
Fucking Sweet Gun Mages.
< Food > Me, David, and Jason ate at Orochon FINALLY. For those of you that don't know, the Travel Channel has a show called "Man vs Food". The dude goes around finding the most talked about places to eat as well as places with legendary "challenges". They did a show in L.A., a modest 20 min drive from me. They serve Japanese noodles starting at 7 bucks. 7 bucks??? "Fuck you" you say, but what you'll be pleased to know is that the serving size is about the size of spaghetti strainer bowl! They have degrees of spicyness, level 7 being Top Ramen shit, to level 1 which is Ultra Hot. After level 1, they have Special #1 and Special #2 which is Super Top Tier. If you can finish Special #2 in an hour, broth and all, you get your name on the wall of honor and a T-shirt. All 3 of us went for level 2 "Hyper", just short of "Ultra". Honestly, it was about as spicy as a jalapeno with every bite. The thing is, the broth is BOILING HOT, so the temperature was worse than the spice. David damn near finished his whole bowl. I had about half broth - half noodles, and Jason ate all his noodles and hardly touched the brother LIKE A PUSSY. I have video that I took that I will be posting up sometime in the future. |

I got my xbox back finally. I missed UPS since I was working so I had to wait for a 2nd drop off on the 4th. I'm playing the shit out of Call of Duty and Borderlands now. AIN'T NO REST FOR THE WICKED~! Speaking of which, Xbox and model building and random internet browsing is keeping me awake until 4am+ every night. I've finished building my Type 94 tank and primed it. All I have to do now is paint it (probably panzer grey because I'm a douche and I'll paint it whatever color I want) and snap a few more photos. I've still got my panzer 1 to finish. |
